Taken vehicle apart today was not hard. I have been video taping myself do it to make sure I have no problems. I also writing down the tools I use on each bolt to make putting it back together easy. I started at 4 due to an army recruiter coming to my door. I talked to him and he took 1 1/2 hours of my time. I didnt even get to start taking apart the superram till 4 because i was tool hunting in my garage which is no fun. Now I believe im about 1\4 of the way done. I got driver side valve cover off, alternator, pulleys, brackets off and than I hit a stand still because I need to find a torques wrench to take apart the rest of the superram. The hard part isnt taken the motor apart but putting it back together. Heres to the future 383 89 corvette
Hey, I'am right there with you. I have my motor out and I am going to assemble the motor this weekend. I have all next week off work to put the new motor in the car and get it running. 400small block destroked to 377. So good luck. Any questions email me and maybe I can help out.
And I am waiting on a crank for my 383 stroker. Also, I will try to help as much as I can. The only thing is, I was lazy so I bought an assembled short block. Ohh yeah, it was crap! I got hosed, but anyway that will be further explained when she starts going back together good luck!
