Just out of curiosity, does a stroker motor require a new chip due to the changes in fuel requirements of the additional cubes or can you get by with the stock one.
This would be an L98 speed density system, no MAF.
SD is not forgiving like the MAF is. You will need a new chip to run.
The MAF vehicle will run, and in fact run fairly good, but a tuned chip is required to optimize all the new power of a 383.
A speed density system is a lot more forgiving than a lot of you guys think, you would be very suprised at the amount of mods you can do and the car will still "run."
To get optimal performance out of anything though you'll certainly want it re-tuned after you do any serious modifications.
