Looking to do the d44 conversion ....I have 94 LT1 A4 what all do i need to buy.... I'm thinking..D44 chunk...batwing and c-beam is all I need to
bolt up to my rearend.....what else

It can be done with just the diff. and batwing. The C-beam can be redrilled and some people, I understand, use their existing driveshaft as is but I would prefer to have it shortened to the proper length. Or of course, you can get the shaft from a 44 car. It's really a pretty straight-forward deal.

I did the Dana 44 conversion. I used the Dana 44 driveshaft and installed my Auto Tranny Yoke. Everything else is a direct bolt-in.

I drilled the C beam , all I needed was the Dana 44 compleated with the Batwing and a drive shaft from a Manual car .

Well I'm doing a conversion right now. Last monday my D36 blew up, so removing it right now (taking a break). You need the D44 w/ batwing, C-beam (or drill your own), and driveshaft. Seems the going rate is about $1800 for the whole setup, but I've found one source for $1500.
So far excluding the usual blood loss I experiance working on this car, seems like it will be a pretty simple swap.
