Hurst Shifter install ?

I'm going to install a Hurst Shifter on my brothers 96. Dumb question but does the shifter come with any instructions specific to a C4? I have no problem ripping (no pun) the old one out. Want to make sure the new one goes in correctly.

Yes it does, very detailed ones.

It's not that hard of an install. The more room you have between the car and floor the easier it will be.I did mine on a lift, doing it on jack stands might not be much fun.

I have a 92 vert and I dropped the x-frame and exhaust from the cats so I would have plenty of room to work. Be careful with the boots as they will rip if you pull too hard on them. If you have a Helm's Service manual for your Vette, the pictures and drawings will help out, but the instructions are fine. It's a 12 pack job, but well worth it.
