What is everyone using for lubricant on their chassis? Is there a brand I can get at an auto parts store that is compatible with what GM recommends? Any hints on procedures, things to avoid, etc? Also, is it safe to assume that a lubricant I use on my Corvette will be safe on my pickup truck, tractor, etc? I only have one grease gun, and changing grease tubes is a real mess. Thanks for the help.
There are only 6 Zerk's on the whole car. The ball joints and tie rod ends are made by the same OE vendors that make everything else for GM. There is nothing "special" about the chassis components on your Corvette. I just replaced mine with 160,000 miles on them. Use a good quality chassis lube on both your car and truck, and you ought to be able to sleep at night.
Lone ranger I'm with you! I can only find 4 zerks on my 95.....thats the upper and lower blal joints. So were are missing 2 somewhere...and everyone agrees there is only 6? just used to the toyota 4x4 I had having like 12 HAHA.
