I am very frustrated with my aftermarket clutches. Two years ago I went with a SPEC stage III with an aluminum flywheel(almost a $ grand). First time at the track.....up in smoke. Last year, I went with a Centerforce(single mass to use with my $400 aluminum flywheel), and not much better results. My stock set-up was better than either of these two. I am begininng to think that it might be the flywheel. Regardless, I am ready to ditch the whole set-up.
I have a couple of questions:
1)Where can I get info and the best pricing on the McCleod clutches?
and
2)Will an LT1 F-body single mass flywheel work on my 94 LT1? (I have been in contact with RAM and they offer a high performance set-up for the F-body LT1 cars but wasn't sure if they will fit the LT1 vettes)
Any help or suggestions is, as always, appreciated.
