Default Brake rotors

its going to be time to redo my brakes again before i know it but this time i am considering getting a little bit more into autocrossing and roadracing. i have heard many many good things about axxis brake pads and how much they make a difference. i am a little torn as what to do about rotors though. i want something a little bit stronger than stock because i have heard numerous tales that the late model C4 rotors can warp extremely easy under heavy load. so something a little stronger and maybe with a lifetime warrantee would be nice in case they ever do warp. also what kind of brake fluid do you guys suggest to help prevent brake fade?

I also forgot to mention i can get a good wholesale discount on anything GM, GMperformance parts, and also carquest. so anything from tehre would be even better but if not its not a huge deal

I was thinking about trying these when the time comes to replace my rotors.

I just got my rotors and pads replaced. The shop doing the work also races a lot. So, they suggested, very strongly, that cross drilled are not a god idea - for the cracking, etc. What I got are the Sport Rotors from VBP, they are slotted and kryoed (sp) and Hawk Pads. From what I have heard and read VBP is one of the places to call and check out. They will match you up with what you want. Or at least give you the advice you need.

After reading the stuff about www.vettepartsonline this morning I look for verifiable results and this forum is great place to start.

Let us know what you decide.

I agree with drilled rotors cracking. Thats why I was thinking of going with dimpled rotors in my post above.

i guess i may have to call NBP at some point i saw nothing but OEM stuff on their site. i agree about crossdrilled. i dont really care to get the drilled i just want something stronger. if they happen to be slotted then great. dimpled is fine as well i guess. any other thoughts?

Me again. The owner/mechanic/driver at my shop, Dreamworks Performance, Mike Meyers, has the dimpled slotted rotors on his vette and told me he would not put the drilled ones on mine at any cost. He is at Vette's on the Rockies. I will be up there on Sunday. Next year the whole weekend.

He has been written up in Vette's mag.

If that helps.
