There are a couple routes, but if you only want 300 I'd look into Joe90 and Vic'89's setups.
Hooker 2149 headers, whatever catback exhaust you like (the difference is sound only).
AS&M Runners, port your plenum, and a new accel or TPiS base...and you should be there.
here's what im going with: crane roller 214/222 @.050 .488/.509 lift w/ 1.5's
Hey, that's the same cam I'm getting. I'm puting this together:
-That Cam
-Vortec Heads (The Iron 64cc heads, milled to 58cc with a thin gasket, should be 10:1 compression)
-SD Vortec TPI base / AS&M Runners / Ported Plenum
With the Exhaust system I currently have, I'm shooting for 375bhp/500tq.
You should be able to get there easily with bolt-ons.
Don't know if I'd personally go with Vortec heads, but there are those who have done well with them. It just takes different manifold and setup than going with a "stock-style" system. You can get some impressive flow #'s from those stock AL heads if you send them to the right place.
