Default Mezzaire Water Pump

You will need to remove the shaft drive from the back of the water pump. To do this requires removing the pump housing from the block. (If the electric goes bad you wont have to do this again.) The removal is easy as pie. Then you press in a freeze plug. I would also suggest you use two relays for the wiring portion. If one goes out...a redundant part.

I'm a few days behind on this thread, but I'm about to change mine, and this was good reading. I've got the tech tips printed out.

Nobody mentioned the Dynaspark? I think I'm going to go with it.

It's a complete replacement unlike the Delteq. It's $600, but that's only a few hundred more than an Opti.

Hi Guys,

I wanted to chime in on this... the Dynaspark is a slightly improved unit but it still uses a stock cap and rotor which is prone to problems .. also you are still running high voltage in the opti which is the killer in most opti's ... the Delteq unit removes the high voltage and cap and rotor failures and provides a hotter spark then what a msd + a single coil can provide at high rpm plus you will pick up some more mid range torque, better gas mileage to boot ..... ask around on this board because I have sold many units to guys from here and they love it …… and notice a difference they way the car runs and idles

Also In a few weeks will have more options for the kit, like cool wires sets or cut to fit (different colors and from 8-10 mm wires ) powered coated brackets and cutom brackets to make the system look even better.

Thank You

Does the Delteq unit then provide a different cap/rotor (what does one do with the stock cap/rotor?)

For know you just leave the stock cap and rotor in place. We will have a nice replacement cap to put in place of the stock cap and rotor within 2 months
