Headlight motor fixed-got a tech tip
Tech tip #1: To hold the brushes back in place while you place the armature, use dental floss or doubled up thread. Loop the floss around the wire to the brush with enough left to hang out the motor assembly.
Have some one hold the floss on both sides while you place the armature in place. Once in place, start the screws and pull the floss from one end. Get a beer.
Tech Tip #2: When cleaning the debris from the housing and the motor shaft, use an old toothbrush. Doesn't scar any surfaces and you can get the motor shaft by turning the hand ****. Get a beer.
Other than the PITA broken screw, the left took about 1 1/2 hours, including cleaning.
