Injector question
Hi everyone,
I have a post already about my 89 vette but I have another question.
A quick history: the vette has been sitting since 1993 only started and driven a few blocks once in a great while. It had old gas in it although my uncle said he put in gas treatment.
Anyway I now have it and when the engine is cold it starts and runns great, when it warms up 180 degrees or so it starts loosing all power to the point where it will only idle, if i give it any gas it just boggs out and back fires.
took it to a service guy and he said the injectors are bad. I know to put a screw driver on the injector and listen to the handle to hear if the injector is working. Everyone works fine (at least at idle).
Question is do injectors stop working when they get hot? could it be, that several of them quit working all at once? And if so can I take them out and clean them or is it the coil that goes bad?
