What causes the "sys" light to blink on the lcd? I have a '93 and haven't found it in my service manuals. I'm new to the manuals and it's taking a while to get adjusted to using them.

hope fully its not your computer on my 92 it was the battery
Just replaced the ECM and the PROM. Nothing was wrong with the PROM though so that was a big waste of money. I guess I can always put it on EBAY. A new battery is sitting at home waiting for me. Hopefully that will fix it because I'd hate to replace the CCM. My service manuals are at home with the car so I haven't had a chance to diagnose the CCM again and see what the different codes are. Thanks for the input everyone.
Guys, whats the difference b/w the ECM and the CCM? I know what the ECm is didn't know about the CCM....
It's not so much what's different, it's what are their jobs.
Starting in 1990, GM added the CCM to the mix. It's the Central Controller. It acts like a traffic cop to the ABS and the ECU.
There is the Serial Data Line that connects the CCM to the ECU and the ABS (later ABS/ASR) computer to the CCM. This allows the CCM to inform the ABS what is going on, and visa-versa.
you can get ECU codes from the CCM, easier than counting flashes, too!
