Hey guys. I was having a problem with detonation above 3500 rpm under wot. As soon as a hint of detonation set in, I'd back off it.
I figured that it was either fuel or timing related. The btm had no effect on it(adjusting for more retard) so I checked the fuel system. I checked the t rex and it wasn't getting any juice. Sure enough, one of my wires had frayed completely(I couldn't believe it!).
I rewired it up and now I'm back in business.
I really wish that they would have done it right the first time and went with a 255 walboro in tank pump with a walboro booster pump. That would be good enough for pretty much any street blown motor up to about 500 at the wheels...
Glad to hear you fixed the issue. This is exactly the reason I ditched the dual (aux) pump setup and went with a single Walbro 255lph. Someone preached to me about the importance of this. I'll pass on your experience to everyone.
Installed a new ATI Procharger. Have about 30 minutes on it before the T rex quit running and failed the in-tank pump. When I hit the T Rex it started running again. I don't want to chance blowing my engine on a lousy pump. Since the in-tank pump is destroyed, what is the best course of action? Please help!
