Default Corsa Exhaust

I have a '93 Lt1 auto with stock exhaust. I put the B&B Triflow on it a while back and the resonance was so bad from 1500 to 2000 rpm it hurt my ears. My wife even refused to ride in it. I have been doing some reading up on the Corsa 2.5 inch exhaust and understand the resonance is resolved with what they claim is RSC (reflective sound cancellation) I called a tech at Corsa to verify their claims, they said everyone who ever used them were happy. They even claim a 10rwp increase. I live in the Southern California area. Is there anyone in my area with any experience with this exhaust system? Any input will be appreciated.(corvetteallisons@comcast.ne t)

A lot of people have the Corsa because of resonance issues and they're pretty happy with the systems...

I went with a Flowmaster system (I've always had a like for them)... I don't have any resonance issues with my system...

Where are you in the L.A. area??? If you're nearby or come to one of our semi-frequent Hooters gatherings, I'd be glad to take you for a little ride so you could get a feel for the system...

Are you going to be selling the B&B? If so, how much?

The Corsa's rock..The Look great and...They sound great when you want them too and are quiet as well when you want them to be.....depending on how you drive.....As far as a HP gain...my 1994 Auto with 86k made 269.6hp and 297tq at the wheels with those corsa's on along a few minor mods(plugs wires SLP intake, which i suspect made no HP gains)...Plus they are a great deal from Mid America 850 shipped! compared to 1100 shipped on Corsa's sight. I would grab them

It all depends on the gears you have. I have 3.73 so my Corsa's are loud. But when I had my stock gears in there were great on the highway.. I love them and will have them on my next Vette too. Oh by the way, I just seen a set on ebay. They were at like $400... Check them out.

Default Corsa Exhaust

For the past few years I have been running Watson Headers and a Flowmaster cat-back system on my 91 ZR1. At firts the car sounded good..dam good. The system had no resonance at cruising speed and sounded like a Winston Cup car when you mashed the gas.

However, over the past few years I noticed that the system's sound became louder. I have no idea why but am 100% sure that it did get louder. Several friends of mine who insytalled the Flowmaster system complained of the same thing.

Recently, I had to take a 6 hour trip in the car and the sound was just too much- it really took the enjoyment out of the car on long trips.

Based on the advice of a friend (and ex-Flowmaster user) I purchased a Corsa system.

Their claims of wisper quiet cruising is spot on. The system is very quiet until you mash the throttle and then it loud as hell- but good loud.
It's very quiet when cruising at 70 or 80 mph and makes the Z a pleasure to drive in again.

I think you will be happy with a Corsa system- go for it !

I have the B&B 3in in the basement, and the Corsa on my car. I still like the sound of the B&B at full throttle. Awesome, but the resonance was terrible. The Corsa has no resonance at all on my car, so it gets the nod.

I've noticed this as well, not on Corvettes but on my previous Flowmaster equipped F-bodies... After 30K-50K miles, the car did get noticably louder... I find this a strange occurrance since there is no type of material inside that gets burned/blown out like a glass pack...

Corsas here on an LT4 in NorCal - absolutely *love* 'em, and agree with the above statements in their favor as well...
