Default Donut or not??

I noticed in one of the "threads" someone recommended removing the donut in front of the water pump ( I think that is the location) for better performance. It is the disk located in front of the engine.

Has anybody explored this and is it true???

Looking for low dollar performance enhancements, realizing not major changes.
Thanks,

Hi 65 Z01,
Thanks, have you noticed any problems since removing the "frisbee"?

By the way nice web site!

Hi, thanks.

Though I don't often use my A/C, except for defrost, I've noticed no negatives. I believe that is the consensus.

I removed mine last winter with the help of his site. I run the air conditioning every once in a while. No side effects that I have noticed. Go for it.
