Default NOS help needed

OK ,
I have a NOS wet kit now...I started with a dry kit but went and purchased new Big fuel and NOS S-noids and lines....Now all I need is the fogger nozzle...and the WOT switch that goes on the TB.is there a right or wrong one to buy in both issues....and on the Start/retard box...can this be wired in to my ignition system without the MSD 6A box..or do I have to have it aswell...or is there a better way of doing it....Last thing...My car is MAF so where does the nozzle go....closest to the TB after the MAF....I would think I would not run fluid threw the MAF RIGHT?....

Also is there a chart to figure out what jets go with fuel and nos...I have no idea how to read the numbers on the jets and if there is a difference between Fuel ones and Nos ones...and how to figure out which ones to use and where and how to set it up....Also where can I get instructions from to figure all this out and the how to hook the NOS system up to my car. I have not purchased any jets yet..so thats why I am asking....I would like to run 100 to 150 shot on my L-98....will that be OK...I need some major coaching here...

Sorry for all the questions....been out of the NOS for a good while and I have only had the pleasure of running a dry kit in my other cars....

The nos fogger nossle will be fine and any thottle switch will work.

im 99% sure that you need to run a 6al to use any retart box. i just went with digital 6 which has it built in.

the nossle must go after the maf.in between the maf and tb. never before it.

not sure what jets to run but i know that they are all the same, nos and fuel.

100 shot will be fine. i wouldnt go to 150 with a stock bottom end.

you will probably want to upgrade your fuel pump to keep up with added fuel.

i have a 125hp zex wet kit on my 91 l98 with a stock bottom end and i am having some problems and i think it may be lack of fuel, and i upgraded to a bosch 550 hp intank pump, but i will know more when i put a fuel pressure gauge the the car.

Thanks mos90......

I think I will have to try and get the Digital 6 box...but they are $$$$$$$$......I just got the last few parts I need for the setup...I got the fogger nozz;e, jets to adjust from 75 to 150 shot and the switch for the TB......

Is there a place to download the instructions for the install? I purchased my stuff in peices, so I did not get that peice.....for the money I just spent, I could have purchased a new wet kit....

Oh well.....

the digital 6 is $100 more that 6al. with 6al you still need to buy timing controls. it only works out to be about $50 more.

you can problably download the instructions off the nos website.

fuel problem i was having was actually a rich problem. so my pump is fine. that why i purchased a fuel pressure gauge for in the car. if i had it before i would have known...

it is alwa s nice to invest in a good afr meter when tuning nos..
innovate motorsports makes a really nice one for about $350.00
the nice thing about theirs is it is portable so no need to mount.

I guess I will have to bite the bullet and get the Digital 6 box.....I think I would be alot better off.....I already have a fuel gauge inside of the car.....Sucks now as I have to get the t-fitting now to be able to run the sending unit for the fuel gauge and the wet line....What fitting did you use? If you have the part number that would be great...I am trying to go from memory on my other Earls fittings I have on there now.....I should be ok with the new fuel pump.....I am going to have get more of your help with tuning.....But I really need some install instructions......Do you have a website I maybe able to download them from....I looked in Holley's site but nothing....I need the electric noids hookups and the WOT switch and the inside ativation switch wiring diagram......Do I need a relay anywhere in the system? Can you tell it's my 1st time with a wet kit.....had it to easy with a dry.....but it was on my Mustang....

Go to

http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/TechSer.../NOSTech4.html

It's a chart for nitrous/fuel jet sizes and fuel/retard/spark plug requirements ...VERY useful

Also check out theMallory Hyfire digital 6 ignition... it's pretty slick. Built in retard and easy to program and dirt cheap compared to anything by MSD.
This site sells them cheaper than jegs and summit
http://www.centuryperformance.com/de...uct_id=MAL-685

and YES, the fogger nozzle goes after the MAF, and try to set it up so the spray pattern will hit the throttle body evenly. OR you could buy one of the plates that are made to bolt in behind the throttle body and have a spray bar.

As for getting instructions to install a nitrous kit...look online or ask a friend hat has done it. it isn't difficult, just make sure the lines from the solenoid to the nozzle are te same length!!

i cant remember the part # i had to use for the fuel gauge hook ups, but i put it right by the zex box with 3 fittings to make it work. i used a 4an t then a male to female adaptor then 4an to 1/8npt. real pita. earls makes the exact fitting but its 6an ..

the mallory ignitions are nice also...the nice thing about the mallory is it has a built in window switch..

Many thanks to you guys for all the help.....I did find the install sheets and printed them out.......I am looking into that ignition box now.....I was hoping I could find one used, but no go.......

I would not have to change my coil setup now would I to run this box or the MSD one would I.....I have a Hypertech Coil, Cap and Rotor.....I run Taylor Spiro Pro Wires....(Red of coarse)

I ordered my jets...but what I was wondering is are all the jets different numbers from one company to the next....The reason I ask is I just got my jets and I was looking at the numbers from on the install sheets and the new jets I got do not match.....I ordered the jets from Cold Fusion Nitrous Systems.....and I have the numbers that go like this.....

75hp=47 NO2 / 26 FUEL
100HP=50 NO2 / 27 FUEL
125HP=57NO2 / 31 FUEL
150HP=65NO2 / 36 FUEL

Do these sound right.....?

Are you using NOS brand fooger nozzle? One or two foggers? THose numbers for the 150 shot look WAY to big on the n2o side, I will look at my jets to double check. I run two foggers behind the tb setup for a 150 shot.

As far as jets go... I got mine off Ebay dirt cheap.
