I have a developing problem that seems to be getting worse. At highway speeds my 88 "stumbles". It is just like a short loss of power then it comers back. It is fine under hard acceleration. Today I noticed it at city speeds now. Just a little stumble then back to normal. It idles fine and accelerates great, it is just at "neutral" throttle that it stumbles.
Any ideas? Does it sound like a fuel problem or electrical? I'd appreciate any suggetsions anyone would have on what to look at.
Does your problem occur at the same speed everytime?
I am asking cause I have the problem too (I have a 92 LT1), mine does it at around 75 mph and if I accelerate smoothly...otherwise I give it a good acceleration the stumble disappear...
I changed all the spark plugs but it still does it...
No idea either of what the problem can be.
Here are a copla things to check out:
-clean the TB bore & plates
-check TPS voltages at base idle (450RPM) & WOT and verify smooth operation
-check that base timing is at 6-8deg BTDC
-check spark gap & condition
