Default It's Getting Hot In Here !!

Went to rinse off my 92 LT1 today @ the local self-serve car wash. Before i got there, it seemed like the a/c was not as cold as normal, kinda cool then not.(worked great yesterday) Rinsed it off & headed back home (about 11/2 miles) & the green light over the "auto" a/c switch began to flash, then stopped. The car was also running sluggish w/ a miss. I did not wash under the hood. After reading the owner's manual about low freon causing the light to flash & how to pull the 2 fuses for 1 min. & replace, I tried that because I could find no signs of a freon leak. Didn't work. So, I went to drive the car to try & figure out why it was running bad. When I nailed it @ first, it bogged then jumped. After that it seemed to run better than it ever had! Got back home & killed it. Waited a couple min. & re-started. Seemed to still run rough. Parked it, got on my Harley & went to eat & have a beer!
Pretty sure it's two separate problems. Will some freon cure one? Did something get wet & maybe need to dry for the other? I'll leave it in ya'll's expert hands.

Well it sat overnight & cranked w/everything working fine. That did'nt last long though. A/C cut out again & the idle surge & miss returned. Still bogs on hard accel.. Drove it about 25 miles w/no change. Guess it's off to the Chevy dealer tomorrow.$$$$$$$$$$$

Sounds like the rinse did something. My L98 had a hose that drained right onto a battery junction box right behind the battery. Nice place to put the gutter drain hose. I lengthened it to pass the junction box. Im not sure how a LT1 is configured but its probably not that different

Well the Chevy dealer fixed the running problem today. Seems like it was a short in the ECM. It's going to the a/c tech in the A.M. to tackle that. By the way, I read a thread about NAPA selling ECM's for about $110.00. They quoted me 259.00 - 289.00 depending on # on unit. The Chevy dealer was 249.00. So far I'm 400.00 into it.
