Default Interesting wheel observation......

The other day in an attempt to get some more traction for my friends 95 z28, we removed my rear wheels and swapped them with his for the night. However upon doing this I noticed that the wheels do NOT bolt up as is always implied on ebay. The bolt pattern is the same but the innermost lip of the wheel where it mounts to the hub is not! Between my '89 wheels, the '95 z28 wheels and the '95 sawblades I have which are all supposed to fit one another, they dont. The innermost lip of the sawblades and the z28 wheels are the same, match the camaro hub that slants at a 45 degree angle. The 89 wheels and my 89 hubs have a 90 degree angle where the hub meets the wheels. So aparently, the sawblades will not fit my car. I don't understand I always thought that the wheels were interchangable

When putting stock '97+ Camaro wheels on a '93-96 Camaro, the inside lip needs to be Dremel'ed out. Apparently the '93-96 rear hubs are slightly larger than later years. The wheels will actually bolt up but it's not properly seated until you machine the wheel a bit.

Exactly right. The Z28 wheels will bolt right on to the Vette, but you'll need to file the hub (or the wheel) a bit to get the the Vette wheels on the F-bod. The bolt pattern is the same.
