Knocks like crazy when cold
Working with an 87 that knocks beyond belief until warm (Closed loop?)
Haven't set the initial timing yet since replacing the dist cap with new recently.
Does the knock circuit not take part until closed loop?

Might be... Wouldn't this be a more repeatable event? What we're experiencing is a new event in a long series of system problems. Can't figure if this is coming from the ECM or other stray electrons!
