Help please
i have a 91 vette an the car wont idle. It just dies. When ever you are on the gas it will run good. like nothing is wrong.It just dies every time it gets below 1000 rpm. this is my first vette so i am new to this. Also the service engine soon light does not come on when this happens. Please help

The first thing I would do is inspect all the tubes and hoses connected to the vacuum system. I'd also check for intake leaks. Next, check out the injectors. Then plug in a Tech I Scan Tool and see what's going on. If you haven't already done so, buy yourself a set of Helms Sevice Manuals for your year Vette. It will have a good flow chart to find your problem.

When I bought my vette, it barely idled... I did a full tuneup on it, and that worked wonders... i still have a slight vacuum leak somewhere that i hafta address, but maybe you could just start with a tuneup?
