Headlight bushings over replacement.
Well my headlight motor has gone up recently and I was in a dilemma of either replacing just the bushings or the motor as a whole. A motor will run from $125(rebuilt) to almost $300 new. I found that the $5 replacing the bushings is the best way to go! Three screws to remove, cleaning out the remains of the old bushings and putting the new ones in, then closing it back up. $5 and a couple hours work saved me any where from $200-$500 Including labor. I am not mechanically inclined but it was a fairly easy fix! I found the bushings on eBay with decent instructions for $5 as mentioned.

I wish that was my only problem with the headlight motor. I replaced the bushing and gear and still had problems. My wife bought me one for my birthday. I orded a new one from the Last Detail Shop in Atlanta, Ga. cost with shipping and handling $200.00. Replacing the bushings and gear is no big deal just a little time consuming.

If it's bushings, go to HomeDepot and ask for item number 595609. (nylon spacers) I think they run 2 for .69 cents.
You'll need 3 packs of 2 each for a total of 6 spacers to do both headlights. Total cost was $2.07+ tax.
I fixed mine about two months ago using the Forum tech tips and they're working great now!
