I will soon be going with one of these systems so I wanted to get
some input from those of you running each. So far I'm leaning toward the LTCC for its rev limiter and retard functions. However the Delteq looks easier to install. What have your experiences been?
I have the delteq system and could not be happier. The cap/rotor needed to be replaced badly, so I went this instead. If you can source your own N* coil pack like I did, it is also much cheaper.
Any one else out there?!?! Bogus... I too like the separate coils, but then again I like the Clean look of the Delteq. Both seem to have
been proven performers at the 7000 rpm range.
The delteq is a Waste Spark system, what exactly does that mean?
Excuse my ignorance here but it doesn't sound efficent.

wasted spark is not a problem... what happens is that the coil fires 2 plugs at once. one plug is in the boom cycle, the other in exhaust.
due to the fact that electricity takes the line of least resistance, it fires on the cylinder ready to boom. The other gets a minor flash, but not worth noting.
So in theory the LTCC would have a greater spark since it only fires once in a cycle?
The other thing I liked was the full instruction manual with the delteq
but I though I saw in another thread that you were making one for the LTCC. How difficult was the LTCC to hookup? Also hows the rev limiter function. My computer's is set at 7300, currently my 6AL is 7200. I like backup.
Its an easy change out. Great product support. Pete at Delteq even gave me his home and cell number as I was doing the conversion over the Memorial Day weekend. Performance is GREAT!

What coil packs did you go with? Which plug wires did you use? Did you have to get the make your own variety to get the lengths right? Thanks.

[QUOTE=99svrcpe]I decided to go with the LTCC......
I'm leaning toward the LTCC at this point however the brackets to mount the coils is my concern. The MBD billet ones are real nice but also real pricy at $260 and may require some modification to fit corvettes. Yours look good to me, are those LS1 brackets? If so how did you make em work?!?!
I went with the LTCC because of my future plans for my engine (nitrous). The LTCC has for retarding the timimng and I believe it also has a 2 step and rev limiter. These were options the delteq didn't have when I spoke to them over the phone.
*Both companies give excellent service as far as that you can't lose.

Yes, these are LS1 brackets, I think they were about $14ea. I used 5/8" round isolation rubbers. making these brackets work was quite easy. I'll take some more detailed pictures and give a more detailed explanation. but basically it just requires two 1/4" holes to be drilled into each valve cover.

That would be and greatly appreciated. That brings the
cost back into my budget.
