Default QA1 shocks??

i'm looking to buy qa1's but i read somewhere on this fourm that they don't fit right?? you have to install washers or something on the bottom of the shocks??, i really can't remeber, if it was washers or something else. can anyone tell me are they a direct bolt on for a 91 vette. thanks

The rear shock's mount is narrower than the stock shock, so yes, you will need a spacer. I just used some metric washers. Perhaps QA1 makes these and you just have to ask for it?

I had the same issue with my rear shocks. I just put a washer on either side of the shock to act as a spacer and it fit fine. You would think that they would be included with the shocks.

ext ht. : 14.00

88 to 96 Vettes

I love these shocks, but I too had the rear lower mount fitment issue. No biggie.

So they fit ok on the front? I am thinking of putting them on the front. I have Edelbrock IAS on rear.

Yes, they fit fine in the front. The only thing I did with the front ones was reuse the factory mounting grommets, as the ones supplied looked to be kind of small.

I think I paid 139 each. I had to get a smaller bodied shock upfront, which QA1 carries to give me enough travel for my lowered car. Something to keep in mind when you order if you're lowered too.
