Default 1986 Radiator Question

Im putting an auto in my vette for testing this weekend, and i need to know if the cars w/ Auto's have a different radiator. The radiator that i have now has the cooler lines and all hooked up for the overdrive unit for the 4+3. I looked on advance auto parts, and auto zone web sites, but they only have one part #. They do not ask if the vehicle is manual, or auto. if they are the same part #, im just going to use the existing cooler lines, if they are not, im getting an aftermarket trans cooler.

Anyone that knows, please feel free to chime in. thanks.

ummm...clarify...you are swapping out a 4+3 for an automatic tranny this weekend for some tests? Isn't there a ton of other changes that have to happen also...like ECM / gears / vac / harnesses/ etc?

Cool...I'd like to hear how it went.

I've got nothing to do this week-end, think I will run the same test-----
just kidding. Why do you need to run that test?

The radiators are the same. An auxillery cooler is always a good idea, though. Due to part number consolidation, all the replacement radiators (Modine, anyhow) for C4s have the trans coolers. Even the 6 speeds that don't use it.
