Default Lowering my 93.

I'm going to have my car in the air all winter getting the tranny redone and some other stuff I want to do under there like long tube headers. And now I'm thinking about lowering it too. The kits I see say an inch or less. Is there a way that I can drop the front end 1.5 or more?

Dunno how. There's a thread out here somewhere on that. If you drop it 1 - 1/2 inches you may not be able to drive over a speed bump.

With the replacement wedges and cutting half off the end pads on the front spring, I got a 1 1/4" drop. IMHO that is about the max for one still driven on the street.

i've got to lower mine at least an inch. it seems that when you move the battery to the back, scrap teh smog, and replace the manifolds and cats with long tubes its removes about 100lbs off the nose

There are alot of ways to do it. Cutting off the rubber pieces on the ends of the spring AND cutting off the top to install the wedges will get you about 1.25" That's all you need, trust us. Anything lower would be way too hard to drive. Mine is dropped 1" front and rear, it's very noticeable (to me) and now I have about 3" of ground clearance at the lowest part, I scrape left and right, just be sure to go slow!
