help me choose new heads
i just sold the iron eagles ( 180 cc) time for alum.
1985 carbed vette
my combo is 355, flat top hyper 4 valve relief ( -8cc)hyd flat tappet 224-234 @.050 112 LSA 107 ICL ( installed straight up 495-510 with 1.6 roller tip, performer RPM 750 VS. turbo 350, 2500 stall 3.07 gear ( will be 3.42) with 26" slick and a 200 shot. 99% of the time motor only.
i have a few questions.
1- my pistons are .015 in the hole.
i ran some comp. calculations and this is what i come up with. to get .040 quench
A-.025 gasket 64cc head= 10.47-1
B-.025 gasket 68cc head= 10.00-1
C- .038 gasket 64cc head= 10.15-1.
Now the heads i'm looking at and have been suggested are
1- AFR 195
2- Dart pro-1 200.
I've heard the AFR's have a diff. time getting the valve cover to seal ??
I'm open to any suggestions.
