It's been a while but you were right!!! After doing all the tests you showed me I replaced the ECM and now the dash works perfectly. Thankyou!! Now onto new problems, CODE 42. I'm going to post my problem tonight 10/2/04. Look for it, maybe you can help me again. The problem is an intermittent code 42. I replaced the ignition module, cap, rotor, wires, and spark plugs. The code went away for about 400 to 500 miles and the car runs great, but now it's back. Can you help me??? jzvette Thanks
I am experiencing a similar issue with my 87 corvette. I had a CAL burned from TPIS as I am running a stroker motor now in my 87 Corvette. Everything worked great until recently my Speedometer and Dash are going Bizerk.
MPH is sporadic, and fluctuates with RPM increase
Instant Fuel Rate is always 99
Dash goes completely Crazy randomly flickering showing incorrect values

Update, I replaced ECM (was able to use one from local Auto Parts) no change in digital dash craziness...
I guess I'll try a dash unit next.

Have you recently hooked your car to a scanner or a dataloging program with your laptop..I had exactly the same thing your experiencing when ever I hooked either of these up to my car..Hooking up a scanner to my 89 scrambles the readings for 3 or 4 car starts until it finally corrects itself or until I disconnect the battery for a short while..I just thought I would put this out there incase this is what your doing also.Im in the process of doing datalogs on my car and it scrambles ever time I hook up and datalog.......WW
