When I pull my TDC codes from my 94 coupe using a paper-clip I get a read out of 4. H84 and also a A. H24 , I think the 24 is about airbags they are fine. What is the H84 ? Also the car is running fast with its idle all the time around 1500 down to 1300 with the air on. Have sealed the top plenium and new intake gaskets done. The high idle came on after a broken hose and the car got hot around 270 temp. Thanks for any help.
My 90 book shows a 24 to be a VSS, vehicle speed sensor code and it says not valid if vehicle not moving. But if it's a stored code, then hmmm?, not sure what to make of that. I dont see a code 84. Probably a later model than 90 code. Maybe someone will chime in on this.
In any event, I'd say you have a TPS setting issue that was possibly thrown off by the overheat.

H84 is a history code relating to the tranny 3-2 control solenoid circuit.
Being they are history codes they may no longer be present. The book states that DTC will clear when the fault no longer exists or the ignition is cycle\ds "on then "off". Have you tried to clear the codes from the PCM?
