Cleaning an O2 sensor????
Put new sensors in teh car whit the new engine. had an internal vacum leak causing it to run really rich and was also pulling some oil from the lifter valley. i was wondering if it was possible to clean the O2's with some carb cleaner etc. will it damage it?

Suggest you buy a new 02 sensor, they don't react well to chemicals
I've heard of guys using a torch to burn lead from race gas off after racing........might work to clean oil, but then again the exhaust gas temp should do that.

THE TORCH WILL WORK. I USED A SLIGHTLY OXYDIZING FLAME.
REMEMBER, WE'RE CLEANING, NOT COOKING.
