I have sort of the same combo as you on a roller block. I used the tpis zz9x roller cam. Don't know about the cam your talking about? It may be too great of a lift with the 1.6 rr. AFR has a valve float kit for 6K+ rpm's.

I have a comp cam 306 in a 396 and I'm in the process of going bigger. In a 406 I would run the GM 847 cam at a minimum, or a custom grind. Good luck.

I'm using CompCam's street solid roller #12-702-8. It has 236/236@.50 and .550 lift with 1.5 rockers.
