That's one of those things ya look at and say "Why didn't I think of that?"

No worries scraping the spoiler and no tire-width restrictions...

That's not a bad idea, but it's not high enough for me. I'll stick with the ones I built.

I made some for the front only. I plan on doing something similar to yours very soon. How high does it get the car?

Those look really great! That would work wonderfully for me in my parking garage... The only thing is, I don't have a saw - do you think I could get Home Depot to come some pieces to length for me? And what are those - 1x10s?

I built these for my c-4. They work fantastic and no scraping. Just a little heavy. I found this site by accident and tried it.

I agree with fsr402, not high enough. So I built my own too. Had to borrow a circular saw from brother-in-law but I bought a new blade so he didn't mind.

Mine are 15.75 tall (15.00 + .75 of plywood) and are 16" wide
they are made up of 5 pieces on each side and then bolted together. It makes it great for setting them up for different things.
Like next week I will be lowering the Vette so what I will do is put the car up on the ramps then take 4 scissor jacks lift the car up just high enough to take the weight off the wheels then I unbolt the end pieces and move them out of the way then lower the car back down. whala the car is 2 feet off the ground.
When I do this lowering job I will be taking pictures and writing up a how-to-do paper and will post on this site.
The ones that Iceman made are sweet too and I'm sure a lot lighter then mine and if you can't weld that is a great way to go.

I do see a problem with the design of the ramps for the C5. Look at the "ramp" part. The top is not very long and nothing to stop you from dropping off the end of them. I don't know about you but my Vette is a little touchy when driving up on the ramps. It's hard to drive up on then and not "jerk" it at all. I can soooo see me falling off those.

I know Lowes Home Improvement will cut wood to length for you. Just ask nicely and have your measurements.

WZDADS, I got the idea from another forum member who posted pics. Since I am an AutoCAD guru, or so they say, I was able to model it in 3D, create an exploded view and cut sheet for all the pieces. Went to Home Depot for the lumber and fasteners and went at it. It took a while to cut all the pieces but I didn't have to measure twice and cut once since I had confidence in the cut sheet. I got my kid to help put it together. He wouldn't stop begging to help. LOL

Default I like it

I have a C4 with a low front dam. I have to jack my car up and put jack stands just to change the oil ! I don't know how to insert a pic. in here. Then you could see how low it is.

jdenn47, if you measure the distance from the bottom of the air damn to the ground, how far is it? Is it at least greater than 1 1/2"?
