Default I think I fixed my idle-surging problem

Last weekend, I finally buttoned-up my LT1 (94 coupe) after doing the plugs/wires, TB coolant bypass, TB clean, new IAC, 160deg Hypertech thermostat and set the computer for 160 tstat.

car's running well now with no signs of the surging problem, apparent when it's a hot day out, I'm at idle in stop-go-traffic and car's had time to truelly warmed up; It's also been a scorcher during the last few days here. the surging I had was in the form of the revs going up to 1000+ at idle, car wants to break free and I have to step on the brakes harder or put transmission into neutral.

I think the new IAC and TB clean did the job. My IAC had a piece broken off within the pintle spring body. I'm glad that piece didn't come out of the spring enclosure and get sucked into my intake. Also replaced the gaskets on the TB - TPS, TB cover and the IAC component screwed on to the base of the TB. New TB gasket to the intake as well.

the broken IAC was the cause... no question about it.

The heat was only secondary.

Nice job done, tho!!

Just to complete this thread by adding that I no longer have the surging-at-idle problem prior to the IAC and TB clean job on my 101xxx mile vette. It's been more than a week with no former symptom.

I'm rather new to many of these abreviations. What is "TB"? Thanks
