yes, I'm sure this topic has been beat to death...yes I'm aware there's a search function, no my computer/campus LAN doesn't like the search function and I can't really use it....
Assuming I have access to a 4 post lift and a bud to help, how long do you think it would take to do a clutch replacement (first time)? Ballpark price of all parts involved?
Yeah I did it a few times this summer and I can have the tranny out in about 1.5 hours to get it apart and 2 to put it back
first time took me 4-5 hours or so did it on the ground, car was about 16 inches from the bottom to the floor
this is what I did;
put car on two 3.5 ton stands with front on car ramps @ 16" up
take off rear then front y-pipe
take off drive shaft
take off c-beam whlile supporting the engine
take out the distributor
take off the driver side valve cover
tilted the engine down
removed tranny bolts and slid it back/off
removed the bell housing & slave
remove Pressure plate
