SRP-Pistons vs AFR?
Hello. Does anyone uses/have used the SRP-Piston Partnr: 139628 and a pair of AFR-1038, 195cc heads ( L98 Angle Plug 74cc )? The engine is a Eagle stroke 383. I was wondering how "sharp" camshaft i could use without risking the valves to hit the piston top? It now runs with ported standard heads and standardvalves ( 76cc ) And Comps 12-404-4 camshaft.
The plans is to mount the AFR 195 heads and replace the 12-404-4 to a sharper hydraulic roller cam.

Not sure of the part number but I am running SRP 2v relief flat tops with AFR 1025 (angle plug) 74cc chambers. The current solid roller has .570/.576" lift. I may go with 1.6:1 rockers for .608/.614". At the point I would get out the clay and double check. Piston to head clearance is .039".
