I don't think a 95 cap will fit on an earlier body opti. The connector plug was changed to a better design.
John,
I have read the Corvette Fever article and was thinking of doing it, then I read another artice at www.fierolt1.com (following technical links) and it said that the caps were the same. So, I figured rather than try to fuse the t on to the old cap, Id just swap it out and sell the "old" cap.
Man, I took a peek at this post yesterday, and it jinxed me. I was driving last night and it just dies. Finally got it to run long enough to get home and I have code 16. Cleared the code. Thought I'd try my luck this morning and it is still acting up. Now I have both code 16 and code 36. 2nd opti this year.
Not 5 minutes before it acted up last night I engaged in some "spirited driving" with a stang in the next lane over. Do high rpms damage the opti? I'm curious also if the Dynaspark is proven to be better than the stock opti. And it makes it hard to jump to the DelTeq when I still have to replace the opti also.
