Manifold Heat Shield?
Will it harm the surrounding parts if I remove the metal heat shilds from the exaust manifolds? I want to jet coat them, but don't want to bake other parts info failure

well if youre going to do that you might as well spring and get shortie headers they are like uner $300 and itll be like $100 to get them coated and not worth it if you still have the stock manifolds on.

I'd think if you coat the manifold, you'd probably be okay since the coating helps hold in the heat. You might want to find or make little heat shields where the plug wires are close if you notice a problem there. Could do the same thing for anything else that appears to be in close proximity.
