LCD Panel shorting? Flashing? on '85

LCD Panel shorting? Flashing? on '85
I had my LCD cluster re-built about 3-4 years ago, and I've noticed over the past few months it is flashing.
If left in Park or idling, it doesn't flash at all, but when I drive it around and push on the gas, it flashes, kind of like blinking all the lcd's on/off.
It does this more when the car is cold vs w hen it's warmed up..
Wierd. I wonder if I have a spark plug that is shorting, or the tach line's shorting to ground or something.. I have spliced into the tach line at the distributor end where I have attached my analog tach..
Anyone have any ides?

Mine did that too> but I took it apart and noticed that the PINS between the 2 boards>>the ones that send signals from the backto the front board were lightly corroded...I hit them carefully with contact cleaner and all was gone.. hopefully you get lucky like I did..
