Default IMPORTANT: about "Service Engine Soon" led!

Ok people, I just go tomorrow to buy my own '89 C4 and need some final advices!!! Mi doubt this time is about the "Service Engine Soon" led: I know that it means some problem if the car is running and the led lights on, but if the car is in the AC mode, when all dash leds light on, it is normal that this one lights too? I think yes, of course, but simply ask for confirmation.

Thanks!

Are you saying you're getting the SES light when you turn the A/C on with the engine running?

Default A/c

Only when I turn the A/C, not running!

Mine lights up, along with all the other "warning" lights, when I first start my engine.

It will also stay on if I turn the key to the "On" (ACC) position without actually starting the car (say, to listen to the radio, or whatever.)

I haven't tried running my A/C (Air Conditioning) without the engine running. I just don't think that'd work too well.

Good luck! Hope this helps!
