AFR made two different style angled plug heads. They had their own, propriety angle, and the L98 (Chevrolet) angle. The Hooker catalog cautions that the 2149 and 2151 headers don't fit AFR angle plug heads.
I have AFR 210's part #1053 L98 plug angle
The wires' boots are a little close on some of them, but the plugs themselves clear easy.
As far as dinging, I dinged 2, 3, 5, & 7 for bolt/socket clearance.
I did the same for the bolt clearance, but the plug clearance I have made it 100% necessary to falten the tube by the plug.
Oh well, I would not be surpised if I did not get the L98 plug style, regardless, I will need to weld on two new tubes here in a month or two and have the ceramic coating put back on. All other plugs celar nicely.
Regarding the AFR web site, yes they say that Hookers wont work but as stated above, Diabiolical Dave nor 89 Paull had to ding the pipes.
