Question On Datamaster
Hello: I just purchased a cable for my 87 from Craig Moates and the adapter needed. When I load datamaster it says that there is no pcm recognized. However it does say that the adapter is working when I run the test mode. When I bring the switch all the way down the check engine light flashes so I think it is connecting. Can anyone help me get this thing to read data? Also is there a better program? I hope to soon buy a burner when I get this mastered. Thanks in advance for any help. Wayne

Yes. I checked the com port and that is ok.. I ran the diagnostic test from Moates and it says all is fine. Will try the switch thing tomorrow as suggested above. If anyone has any other suggestions they are welcome.

Just my 02 worth but data master is not for me that easy .
If you are a computer expert I guess it will work??
I have about $2500 in my data master and it still does not work half the time,3 computers all crashed trying to get the right comport.
Called TTS at least 20 times and they are no help .

Yes Toshiba computer $1600.00 comp port won't work.
Belkin $110.00 with shiping.IBM computer $500.00 TTS system $250.00
Crashed computer $150.00 including new conectors.
But I now got it working and I am going to try tuner cats in a couple days While I am on a roll.
