Default Ac after 5 years....

I have had the 90 since 99 and I bought her with no AC. I put freon in her and it just leaked out awhile later. They mechanics said it was the Evorator core doing the leaking and it cost way to much at the time. So i just threw it in the backburner. I am usually driving alone in the car and yeah its hot when you get in but after driving awhile its not hot in there. For 2 years I hardly drove the car because I was in school or away on internships so it was no big deal. I ended up finding the Core i needed on ebay very cheap and it sat in my home for about 9 months or so before i got a decent job and had it installed, plus the ac conversion but the Air still didnt work. Guy figured it was the AC Module since the compressor would kick on if he hooked it up direct. So 2 months later i buy the part. Hopefully the freon hasnt leaked out! So about 1 week after recieving the part i put it in and sure enough the Compressor still didnt kick on. No worries. Still my daily driver. (after coming back from internship and finishing college she is the daily driver now). So I FINALLY take a day off from work to get some stuff done and did a search for AC problems and came upon a post to Unplug the battery for a few seconds to clear error codes since i replaced the module and VOILA i got air!

I dont like tint and i have the glass top so its not that cold and at red lights or at drive thrus it isnt cooling much, but its good enough for me.

I will probably invest in that thing that MidAmerica sells that snaps on to the Glass Top so the sun wont go through. Either that or try and look for the nonglass top somewhere. I wonder how much those run?

Anyway, I love the forums and even though I stay away for periods of time some quick searching will lead to some answers. So thanks to everyone.
