luvmy92: That is a TON of lift considering the low duration numbers!

The GM 845, 846, and 847 are all Crane ground camshafts with GM part numbers. You can also buy the Crane part, but it will cost you a bit more...besides I tell folks it is a factory camshaft...(I have the 847)...

Come on Jim...you know you want more power!

I agree I'm just trying to get an idea of how much my idle quality will degrade with the 846 cam versus my HOT Cam.

The 846 cam has slightly more duration (4* Int/ 2* Exh) on the same LSA (112) as the HOTCam. Not sure if that results in a noticeable impact to idle quality or if it's so minor I won't be able to tell

I agree... we wanted something that would idle, be streetable, but still make power when you jumped on it. I have no idea what kind of power this cam is going to make. Will find out soon, tho.
