Default 94 BOSE gold sizes?

OK...

Can anyone tell me the following?

What are the speaker sizes of a 94 Vert front\back? also, is the head unit considered a double DIN or a 1 1\2 DIN height unit? I may go with some after market setup and am trying to decide on head unit, amps, speakers and the works...

There is not much room in the back of a vert- so any ideas are greatly appreciated!

Ah, yes... the day has come when the bose blose...

Sizes:

Head unit - double din

Front speakers - 4" round and a 1.5" tweeter thingy. 5.25" separates or coax's will fit up front REAL easy. A custom enclosure, which I am making some of, can support upto a 6.5" round!

Rear speakers - 6" round (I think, that's what is in the coupe), but you can custom fit 6x9s rather easily.

Recommendations:

Alpine head... anything over 299.00 is a great start!

Speakers... Polk, Boston, Infinity... this is strictly an issue of sound vs dollar. there are some great brands, by they really require power amps beyond what is in the head to drive them.

and leave it at that. you don't have a lot of space, and I don't know if you want to take up all if it with amps.

Now, for an idea:

Go with the alpine head and NICE front speakers, like 6.5" 2 way separates.

Then... a pair of 8" subs! JL Audio or Boston are good starts.

A strong 4 channel amp and you are set! let the front channel run the separates and the rear the 2 subs! The 8s should fit into the rear speaker enclosures.

If ya want a nice stereo in a C4, get ready to start for a custom install. Nothing's easy on a C4!

BTW, the guys on the audio forum are great, it's a little a quiet (so responses may take a few days), but they know their stuff.
