Default Shocks

I have an 88 convertible, auto and have decided on new Bilsteins (or used low mileage ones) my question, is there any difference in ride height or travel between the Bilsteins that are meant for the Z51 compared to the Z52 suspension? From what I've been able to find out so far is that the Z51 had a stiffer ride, is that all, mine came with the Z52 package.

Are you th person I have been talking with?

There is no ride height difference between the Z51 & Z52 shocks as long as you stick with 88 specific shocks

The Z51 shocks are a bit stiffer, but the Z52 springs are softer, so the Z51 shocks make a nice combo, especially if you go to the 30 mm solid front and 24 mm solid rear sway bars

Just came back from running the Tail of the Dragon and 300 other :moonshine" North Carolina roads this weekend, and I can tell you thatthis setup outhandles C5's

Not to hi-jack your thread...but I just put a set of KYB's on my 94 Vert (base suspension) total cost with shipping was $120 from Summit...replaced the factory Bilsteins...and let me tell you! what a great shock for the $$$ I believe Bilsteins are twice as expensive...and I don't think they are twice as good!

Just an opinion...
