Any clue what these codes mean? It's on a 1992 Coupe.

Code 76 Bad Lateral Accelerometer Signal
Code 62 Tach Pulse Fault

The code and discription you listed are for th ABS/ASR system. This system is interconnected and interdepedent on other systems in the car.

Code 62 Tach Pulse Fault - This means the engine rpm input signal was lost. Could be wiring ECM, EBCM or ???

Code 76 Bad Lateral Accelerometer Signal - Reading greater than 0.6g for an extended period of time. There is a sensor in the instrument pannel carrier below the radio control. It senses the g force.

I just answered another question about anti lock today (I just registered on the board), then saw your post. I was trained on the ABS/ASR sytem at the GM training center in Minneapolis in 1992. I have forgotten more about it then I can remember. I do still have the training manual. So I looked up your codes.

I would clear the codes and see how soon or if they come back.
