I replaced all 4 bearings 2 yrs ago;Chicago-Rawhyde, torqued rears to 200 lbs.A year later I'm getting noise, mostly from left rear. Replaced both, and the washers, torqued to 180 lbs. Yesterday; a year after replaceing rears, I checked them and the left has some play, right's ok. I'm thinking I probably didn't get 2 bad hubs; something else could be causeing this. Every thing torqued to specs, alignment good. Anyone got any ideas?

You maybe overtightening them! I thought on my 88, according to the book the torgue was around 134/6 for the spindle nut
Polyurathane bushings in batwing, and dog-bones this year, Spicer u-joints when I did the bearings. Rear tie-rod ends are original, that would be a good place to look. Thanks. I've just e-mailed Chicago to see if they have any ideas to add.
Did you install an AC Delco bearing or comparable? I only ask because I had two after market bearings go bad in less then 500 miles. I returned the 2nd bearing and installed an AC Delco and it has been fine since early summer.
These Chicago/SKF ? are supposed to be the OEM, and are recommended by everyone here on the forum. Bought them at Pep-boys with a life time warranty, so they'll have to replace it again. Of course I'll have to do the PITA install. Still haven't heard anything from the manufacturer.
