Auto trans guys,please step inside.

I am about to begin some transmission overhauls and need info on a good trans parts supplier. Transstar was my first choice but they do not want to deal with a small guy. Quality parts and "fair " price is the goal. Any recommendations are appreciated....Thanks, Pete

I bought my parts from Transtar here in Sacramento with no problem. Do a yahoo yellowpages search and give them a call. Sorry I don't have the number.

Thanks for the links guys. Any others, please feel free to post em. I may try another transstar dealer. The office on Long Island gave me the cold shoulder. Philly and Edison NJ are also `1 day away(ups), maybe they will want my money.

Thanks again for the links. I don't expect anyone to let there secrets out but i will ask them anyway! I expect to build them, break them, and find the weak link and upgrade it. Luckily for me the guy who is showing me the ropes has a fondness for 700-r4's and claims they can be built plenty strong for minimal money. We'll see! Pete
