bogging down
Hi guys
I`ve got a 94 that has been acting strange, this past week a few times when i hit the gas the car will bog down and ping a few times then take off, it doesn`t happen all the time but enough to aggravate me. It has had opti, tune up, fuel filter and o2 sensors about 10 months ago. I only use 93 octane also. Hoping its not the opti again, any suggestions?

I had and again have the same problem on my 93. Just putting the engine under a minor load would cause it to stumble. Under hard acceleration from a stop it would stumble really bad. Gas mileage went from 25 highway to 19 and performance was way off. Before the weekend that I planned to work on it the computer finally threw a code. Bad 02 sensors. Replaced them and after a couple days driving it was back to it's old self. 25 mpg and running strong. Lasted for over a week but yesterday the wife drove it to work and the a/c quit and the engine started to stumble and run poorly. Computer was showing no codes so I disconnected the battery cable last night to clear the a/c problem and the car runs better now and the a/c works but still has a minor stumble under moderate load. I have to work on the 90 this weekend so maybe next weekend I can get to the 93.

when i took off the maf i checked the filter...clean. Everything i been reading on the web seems to point to the maf. I think i`m gonna drop it off to have the mechanic see what he thinks
