Did they change plugs?? Non-resistor type sparkplugs can sometimes cause engine noise on stereo. Or, perhaps they nicked a plug wire. A plug wire with an imperfection or bad insulation will also cause engine noise in stereo. Other than that it could be a loose ground or bad wire within the stereo system itself.

Dave is right on the money... I would bet dollars to doughnuts that the guys nicked a spark plug wire while taking the heads off now its arching.. At night take a spray bottle and mist water on the spark plug wires (of course with no lights on). look for the blue arc jumping.. that'll tell ya what wire is bad.. Also, I'm gonna bet the driver side is gonna be the side with the bad wire because of the goofy routing of the wires under the ASR unit, A/C compressor..etc..etc.. there is mroe stuff for the wires to rub on..

good luck!
